The dynamic duo of indie filmmaking is back in action!! Brandon Bethmann and Eric Szmyr are currently working on their next feature film, set to be distributed early '04 by Sub Rosa Studios. Fresh off the press: Sub Rosa will release RH on a double feature DVD along with Malefic, from horror director Steve Sessions(Cremains). Two great films for one low price - you can't beat that! In other news, the documentary "Every Pixel Tells A Story" will be shown Monday 7/7 @ 10pm on the PBS affiliate WMHT ch.17. The film features the pioneering efforts of Brandon Bethmann and Eric Szmyr in the arena of digital feature filmmaking. Check it out and then contact WMHT and demand more Raising Hell on WMHT!!

Here's the latest on the DVD release of Raising Hell. The film will be available directly from the Sub Rosa website 9/03 then everywhere else 10/03! The DVD promises not to disappoint with many extras! In the meanwhile, stay tuned for a new RH website and info on the next Bethmann/Szmyr flick!

"Raising Hell" finds a distributor! The Producers signed an exclusive domestic and international distribution deal with SUB ROSA STUDIOS, one of the biggest b-movie distribution companies in the world! There are more details to come, but we can say there will be a DVD of the film with extras to include director commentary, a making of featurette, and a never before seen trailer! The Producers would like to thank Ron Bonk, Sub Rosa head, and Tim Ritter, cult filmmaker. We would also like to thank everyone who supported the film from the beginning!

"RH" creator's Brandon Bethmann and Eric Szmyr are featured in a new upcoming feature length documentary, "Every Pixel Tells A Story." The film chronicles the use of digital video among indie filmmakers. A premiere screening will take place 11-3-02, 3pm at Hudson Valley Community College, in the Maureen Stapleton Theater.

We're crossing the Atlantic! Raising Hell makes it's European Premiere @ The Halloween Filmfest in Stuttgart, Germany. The festival will run 11/7-11/9 and spotlight new and emerging indie filmmaking talent. Click on Halloweenfilmfest.de for more info.

"Raising Hell" is still open for business! Since the new year, the producers have been
in negotiations with various distribution companies but there is nothing definite yet.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! Here's an update on "Raising Hell's" own Dan Bauman. Dan
assisted in the production of "Raising Hell", and had a role in the film as the morgue
worker. Recently, he along with his company, Resist Productions, finished a digital
short film entitled, "Occurrence at Herdono Beach." The film is now being submitted
to various film fests. Congratulations, Dan!!

"Raising Hell" makes its Festival Premiere!!! It has been chosen to be screened at the
Upstart Film Festival. The festival will run 11/16 through 11/18 at the Aurora
Picture Show Center in Houston, TX. "Raising Hell" will be shown 11/16 @

"Raising Hell" has also been submitted to the almighty Sundance Film Festival. Wish

Just checking in. "Raising Hell" is currently talking with distribution companies
coast to coast. We're looking at a straight-to-video release, hopefully ending up at
your neighborhood Blockbuster Video! Stay tuned for more details. Make sure to
check back very soon for the new and improved website! The new site will include
video clips, more pictures from the film, and much more!
On a side note, the Stars of Rock (remember the wrap party) are having a CD release party for their debut album. It's 08/17/01 @ Valentines, the show starts at 9pm - check'em out.

The WRAP PARTY was a phenomenal success! It was a rainy Monday night, but that didn't stop people from coming out and showing their support. A special Thanks to Valentine's, Reaching Forward, 81 Tranz Am, and the Stars of Rock for a great

WRAP PARTY!!!.. "RAISING HELL" is having a wrap party at Valentine's, 17 New
Scotland Ave Albany, NY, on June 11, 2001. The show starts at 9pm. Scheduled to
appear: The Stars of Rock, 81 Tranz Am, Reaching Forward, with more TBA. Come
out and help support some struggling film makers fund their big premiere (which
will be announced soon). $5 at the door, what else are you going to do, sit home and
watch Ally Mcbeal?

PS - The ARTwork 2001screening was a huge success. A special thanks to the
Albany-Schenectady League of Arts and Doug Pace.

The debut screening of "RAISING HELL" will be presented by the Albany-
Schenectady League of Arts as the closing event of the ARTwork 2001 conference.
The screening will take place at the main branch of the Albany Public Library, 161
Washington Avenue, at 7p.m. on Saturday night, May 5. A conference entitled, "Off
the ground: Making a Film in the Capital Region," will be held at 3:30p.m. in the
same location. Conversations with directors, Brandon Bethmann and Eric Szmyr,
and Editor, Tony Grocki, will be the feature of the conference.

on the film, giving it the distinction of being the first digital feature film to be made
